Central Bank reports interruptions in Instant Payments

The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic ( BCRD ) informs economic agents, financial intermediation entities and the general public that this Saturday, July 26, 2025, the Swift Corporation —headquartered in Brussels, Kingdom of Belgium—will be conducting its global business continuity exercise on its platform.

Swift Corporation , responsible for providing financial communication services to entities worldwide, including the operation of payment flows in the country, conducts this test regularly with the goal of strengthening the quality and stability of its service.

The schedules

During the course of the exercise, there may be some interruptions in the BCRD Instant Payments service between 12:00 noon and 11:00 p.m. on July 26.

In a statement, the financial institution apologized to users for any inconvenience this situation may cause and appealed for their understanding, emphasizing that these measures are essential to ensuring the quality of the payment messaging service provided by Swift Corporation .
