MEXICO CITY.- During her usual morning press conference, the president of Mexico , Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo , reported this Wednesday that during the call she had with the Prime Minister of Canada , Mark Carney , they agreed that it is essential that the United States respect the trade agreement between the three nations ( T-MEC ) despite the threat of tariffs by Donald Trump .
"My call with the Canadian Prime Minister was a call where, first, we met at the G7 and there we proposed strengthening collaboration with Canada in various areas, and obviously, in particular, we both agree that it is essential to respect the trade agreement, the USMCA," the president said.
