Pornography: a caricature

Pornography is a caricature of lovemaking . It shows minors something that isn't true, because when we make love, we enter into a relationship with an adult . Therefore, it shouldn't be between a child and an adult , because they are in completely different eras.

No one can expect a child to understand the manner and form of adult lovemaking . They're not ready. And that's why it's abuse .

Likewise, if we find a child or adolescent watching pornography , we must teach them that it's not okay. Pornography almost always depicts a man—or two—abusing a woman during sex . This is the most common scenario.

Notice how he throws her to the floor and pulls her by the hair, but that's not making love. Making love is tenderness ... and passion, but controlled. It's loving another, not mistreating them.

Besides, women don't like pornography because it shows something we don't enjoy most. We prefer tenderness and caresses that slowly arouse us.

A woman can't enjoy herself if she's being grabbed by the hair, beaten, and abused. Everything that happens with the psychological—and often physical— violence that pornography presents during a relationship is something women reject. Something that doesn't turn them on.

Therefore, it is good for minors to know that they are looking at a caricature .

I mean, it's not making love. In fact, some people who enjoy these kinds of violent relationships only end up looking for people with problems.

Men like pornography a bit, and that's normal up to a point. They tend to prefer it much more than women . Men enjoy violence , pushing, or biting a little more; but I repeat: within limits .

If you, as a woman, enjoy it when a man hits you , there's something wrong. Be very clear about that.

Making love is a different story. A pleasant atmosphere should be created, with music and lots of caresses. Pornography , in and of itself, is unhealthy and should be kept away from children and adolescents. And, I repeat, if we catch them watching it, explain to them that we are dealing with a man who is abusing a woman .
