Collboni is equipped with two macroeconomic areas led by Jordi Valls and Raquel Gil

On May 28th, it will be two years since the municipal elections. As his term reaches its halfway point, the mayor of Barcelona , Socialist Jaume Collboni , decided to introduce some candidates into his governing team, with the appointment of a new deputy mayor, as he announced this Tuesday.
There will be a total of five macro-areas, two of which will be economic. The fourth, led by Jordi Valls , will be responsible for housing and will continue to oversee budgets, finance, and digitalization, as well as the Eixample district.
The fifth commission will be led by Raquel Gil , who will cover business, labor, feminism, memory, social policy, trade, economic promotion, and catering. These last three areas will have a dedicated commissioner, headed by Nadia Quevedo, the current director of Barcelona Activa.
Junts , Barcelona en Comú ( BComú ) and the PP attacked the changes and regretted that the government team, made up of ten councillors, has more deputy mayors (five) than ordinary councillors (four).
Days ago, ERC signed an agreement with the PSC to become its "preferred partner," although it will remain in opposition.
