The CES will submit proposals on the Haitian issue starting tomorrow.

The Economic and Social Council reported today that it coordinated with the delegates of President Luis Abinader and former presidents Hipólito Mejía, Leonel Fernández, and Danilo Medina the agenda for the delivery of the final report resulting from the " Dialogue on the Haitian crisis and its implications for the Dominican Republic."
On September 2, the General Coordination Committee signed the document containing 26 lines of action and a total of 151 proposals , which summarize and integrate the agreements reached during this consultation process.
The points were agreed upon in six roundtable discussions attended by delegates, key stakeholders, and experts, who analyzed and reflected on six thematic areas.
The ESC has described the process as deliberative, open , plural and technically rigorous.
The delivery schedule will be as follows:
- On Tuesday, September 9, with President Luis Abinader, at 4:00 p.m., at the National Palace.
- On Wednesday, September 10 , former President Danilo Medina was presented at 10:00 a.m. at the Presidential Palace of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD).
- On Thursday, September 11, to former President Hipólito Mejía , at 4:00 p.m., in his Presidential Office.
- On Tuesday, September 16, at 10:00 a.m., former President Leonel Fernández met at the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (Funglode).
The CES announced that it will make the full content of the aforementioned report available to all citizens on its institutional website.
