"Conspiracy Against Democracy." Jacek Sasin Attacks Donald Tusk

A government reshuffle is fast approaching. Media reports indicate that one of the ministries to be liquidated is the Ministry of State Assets.
Jacek Sasin said in the "Graffiti" program that the possible liquidation of the ministry, which he headed from 2019 to 2023, would be a "huge mistake."
Jacek Sasin on the government reshuffle: The coalition is falling apart"This will be a huge mistake and a signal of how this team treats state-owned companies. To me, it's a signal that these companies will be political prey, even more so than before," he said.
The PiS MP added that, in his opinion, this is also proof that "the coalition is falling apart." "There's no other way to cement it, so they're resorting to bribery and buying jobs," Sasin added.

He also stated that state-owned companies would no longer be pro-development . "MAP was created to initiate certain economic processes, including the massive Orlen merger," he added.
The former head of MAP said that many projects were created during the PiS government, but were not implemented by the current government. He mentioned, among others, the project to rebuild the steel industry.

"They abandoned it because, as we all know, the PiS project is unsuitable. But such projects can be created, we can obtain capital thanks to the synergy of state-owned companies, and we can develop Poland. They don't want that and are working to eliminate this ministry, which is truly important for our future."
He added that he intends to present a report on the current government's actions regarding corporate affairs. "It's very bad," he said.
"Planned coup"The program also touched upon the topic of Prime Minister Tusk's "clear suggestion" to the Speaker of the Sejm to postpone the swearing-in ceremony of Karol Nawrocki.
"You can see how much the politicians in the ruling coalition are attacking each other (...). The emotions surrounding Tusk's planned coup d'état are running high, and kudos to Marshal Hołownia for preventing it from happening thanks to his decisions. I hope he won't give in. Because I think this pressure will continue until the very end," he added.
Jacek Sasin emphasized that there is currently no confirmation that this conversation took place, but if so, Szymon Hołownia should say so.

"This is a test of what kind of country Poland is. Is it still a functioning democracy, or are we dealing with a hidden dictatorship? Because if you want to invalidate the election results when they are unfavorable for the government, it's a signal to us that we're on the brink of collapse. Mr. Marshal cannot remain silent," he said.
The PiS MP maintains that the matter is serious, and if Donald Tusk did indeed propose to the Speaker to postpone the swearing-in ceremony, the matter should be referred to the prosecutor's office. "Marshal Hołownia is legally obligated to notify the prosecutor's office if such a conversation took place. If he fails to notify them and the truth comes to light in the future, he will be held criminally liable," he said.
He added that the current situation undermines the credibility of the ruling coalition and future elections. "How certain are citizens that the next elections, when they rule that this coalition should leave, will result in a change of government? Or will Tusk then say, 'I don't care about these elections and I'll continue to govern,' like Lukashenko ," Sasin said.
Coalition of PiS and Confederation?Marcin Fijołek asked Jacek Sasin about a possible coalition between PiS and Konfederacja , which could see right-wing parties gain a majority in the next elections and oust the current government. The former minister said there are currently no such plans, nor are there any discussions on the matter.
"There are no decisions on this matter yet (...). This requires the will of all partners. I don't know of any serious talks with the Confederation. There is no such decision on our side either," he added.

At the same time, he distanced himself from the Confederation of the Crown of Poland and said that he would not like to enter into a coalition with Grzegorz Braun.
We would prefer not to be forced to cooperate with this entity, especially after the recent antics of Mr. Braun, who denied German crimes in Poland. It's hard to imagine a coalition with someone like that," he said, adding that he agreed with the negative opinions about the MEP.
