Strzelce Opolskie shocked by the tragedy that occurred in front of Biedronka. It was Wednesday, February 26, before noon. A 76-year-old woman left the discount store with bags full of purchases. She started across the parking lot. Suddenly, she fell. That's when the drama happened.
– At approximately 11:40 a.m., the officer on duty at the Strzelce Police Department received a report that a tragic road accident had occurred at one of the parking lots belonging to a supermarket in Strzelce Opolskie – informs Junior Asp. Dorota Janać from the District Police Headquarters in Strzelce Opolskie.
The circumstances are shocking. The pensioner was lying in a parking space when she was hit by a Honda sedan driven by a 32-year-old woman.

A car ran over a pensioner- Initial findings by police officers working at the scene indicate that the young woman driving the Honda was reversing when leaving the parking space. At that moment, a pedestrian fell to the ground, exactly in that parking space, and did not attempt to get up after falling - adds the policewoman.
Pensioner dies near Biedronka. Terrifying accidentThe 32-year-old Honda driver checked at that time whether it was safe to reverse and join the traffic. It turned out that it was not possible and the driver drove forward to return to the parking space where she had parked earlier. Unfortunately, she did not see that a moment earlier, a woman had fallen in front of her vehicle. The Honda driver ran over a pedestrian lying in the parking lot.
