Correspondence from Rome [PHOTOS]

Correspondence from Rome [PHOTOS]

On Saturday, April 26, almost 400,000 faithful, 170 foreign VIPs, including leaders of many countries, and almost 5,000 priests said goodbye to Pope Francis in St. Peter's Square.

Sister Agnieszka (from Przemyśl) was also there, who has been living in Rome since 2005, where she serves as a translator for the Congregation of the Felician Sisters, and sent our editorial office several photos from the funeral ceremony of Pope Francis. Sister Agnieszka can take photographs, which she proved by showing two of her exhibitions from Kenya in Przemyśl, which she made while on a mission there. However, this time, without accreditation and access to photojournalist stations, limited by order orders, she could only take photos of what was happening in her immediate surroundings. She added a very personal photo with Pope Francis to the submitted material, accompanied by an equally personal and moving text. "A moving meeting with Pope Francis on June 6, 2024, so very open, direct, tender and warm. I remember how he came to life when he saw the Pray4Teens poster and blessed the initiative to pray for young people in crisis.

Thank you, Holy Father, for all that you have done to lift humanity in the world out of spiritual poverty. Thank you for calling for brotherhood, for building bridges between us, and for proclaiming that God never tires of forgiving us. You have left us, the Felician Sisters, an important "testament": to entrust ourselves to God and remain faithful in love."
