Drama in Słubice. The body of a young man was hanging on a fence
Krzywoustego is a short street in the center of the border town, where the guard headquarters and the Orthodox Church of the Protection of the Most Holy Mother of God are located. It was in this area that a shocking drama took place. The victim turned out to be a young Ukrainian citizen.
The police received the report on February 26 at around 2:00 a.m. When the services arrived at the scene, there was nothing the rescuers could do – the man was dead.
– The rescuers who arrived at the scene confirmed the death. The body was secured for an autopsy by the local prosecutor’s office – Senior Sergeant Ewa Murmyło from the District Police Headquarters in Słubice told “Gazeta Lubuska”.
According to investigators, the man tried to jump over a metal fence, but as a result of an unfortunate accident, he impaled himself on sharp bars. One of them pierced the femoral artery.
– The man bled to death. His body was hanging on the fence – police described the incident .
The prosecutor's office is looking for witnessesInvestigators are examining all possible scenarios and trying to determine why the tragedy occurred.
- At this point, it is difficult to say exactly what happened. We are conducting an investigation into unintentional causing of death. An autopsy and toxicology tests will be conducted - informed the prosecutor's office.
The deceased was a young citizen of Ukraine. The police secured the monitoring and are checking whether the cameras recorded the moment of the incident. Officers appeal to people who may have witnessed it to contact local services.
