For 100 years, the Orzechowce Fire Department has been faithful to its motto: "For God's glory, for the benefit of mankind," providing aid to others, often saving their property. The unit has become an integral part of the local community, guaranteeing safety. On this special anniversary day, the volunteer firefighters were supported by the presence of grateful residents, expressing their gratitude for always being able to count on their care. Numerous guests also attended, including MP Marek Kuchciński, Przemyśl Starost Bożena Ryczan, and County Councilors Krystyna Raba-Opacka and Krzysztof Składowski.
The anniversary celebrations began with a special Mass in the parish church, and the official portion took place at the stadium, where the parade was accompanied by banner guards, a guard of honor, and maids of honor. Here, members of the Nrzeszowiec Volunteer Fire Department were honored with numerous medals, distinctions, and awards, including the "Exemplary Firefighter" badge and long-service medals.
The Volunteer Fire Department in Orzechowce was established in 1925. The anniversary was a perfect opportunity to commemorate its history and beginnings. Over the years, the unit has grown in strength, acquiring new equipment and honing its skills. In May of this year, it was honored with a diploma commemorating the 30th anniversary of its operation within the National Rescue and Firefighting System during the celebration of the 160th anniversary of the Professional Fire Service in Przemyśl. Volunteer Fire Department Orzechowce This not only guarantees the safety of the local community. The Fire Department also actively participates in the social and cultural life of the Żurawica commune, participating in the organization and security of cultural and entertainment events. The unit also hosts a thriving Honorary Blood Donor Club, "Iskierka Życia," and, since last year, a Youth Fire Department.
On the 100th anniversary of their activity, the scouts were thanked for their years of commitment to their mission and wished them health, prosperity and God's blessing for the next years of work and safe returns from operations .
