Funds for a better quality of life in the countryside have been distributed

In the second week of June, the Podkarpackie Voivodeship Marshal's Office held a ceremony to announce the grants awarded to municipalities for projects identified by residents as important and needed in their areas. The Podkarpackie Voivodeship Board decided to extend funding to 66 Podkarpackie municipalities that submitted applications for financial assistance this year (out of 81 applying). The entire amount is to be used for activities aimed at implementing Village Development Strategies, as part of the Podkarpackie Rural Renewal Program for 2021-2025. The total amount of funding granted exceeds PLN 1.271 million. Recently, agreements with representatives of 33 local governments were initialed on behalf of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship Board by Deputy Marshals Karol Ożóg and Piotr Pilch.
[middle1]"You know yourselves what your needs are. And that's what this funding is for, and it will be used to implement initiatives identified by residents. The funding is intended for, among other things, the development and furnishing of community centers, renovations to community centers, community centers, volunteer fire stations, the construction of outdoor gyms, playgrounds, and other infrastructure supporting social integration. This funding will be used to develop the spaces of many villages to improve their aesthetics and preserve their cultural, natural, and landscape heritage," said Deputy Marshal Piotr Pilch during the ceremony.
Dedicated financial assistance will enable the practical implementation of local rural communities' initiatives and ideas. The Podkarpackie Rural Renewal Program requires their involvement on many levels, including through residents' own efforts, which aims to foster community life and responsibility for their local communities.
How much and for whom?A number of Rural Development Programme (RDP) projects have already been implemented in previous years, and more are now being added. Among the local governments in our area that have secured funding is the Narol commune, which received PLN 20,000 for the renovation of the village community center building in Lipie. The Roźwienica commune received a similar amount for the second phase of modernization of the WDK building in Cząstkowice, and the Przemyśl commune for the supply and installation of playground equipment in Stanisławczyk.
