Future judges and prosecutors will not have to travel to Krakow for education
The Ministry of Justice in a press release points out that the Polish justice system has been struggling with serious staffing problems for years. One of the main factors of this state of affairs is the insufficient number of law school graduates from the northern and central Polish voivodeships. This makes it difficult to fill judicial positions in courts and prosecutors' offices located in smaller towns in these regions.
This is to change thanks to the establishment of a branch of the National School of Judiciary and Public Prosecution in Gdańsk. In September last year, a letter of intent was signed in this matter. On Tuesday, February 24, another step was taken, namely an agreement between the National School of Judiciary and Public Prosecution, the University of Gdańsk and the Minister of Justice.
