He wasn't wearing a seatbelt. He faces prison time.

During a routine roadside check, police stopped a Renault driver who wasn't wearing a seatbelt. As it turned out, the 59-year-old had more on his conscience.
On Monday, July 21st, Trzebnica traffic police stopped the driver of a Renault passenger car for not wearing a seatbelt. What seemed like a routine incident quickly took on a more serious dimension.
During a data check in police systems, it turned out that the 59-year-old resident of our district shouldn't have been driving at all. He was subject to a driving ban issued by the District Court in Trzebnica. But that wasn't the end of it. The car he was driving wasn't roadworthy – its registration certificate had previously been seized by officers.
The man received a ticket for the traffic offenses, but he faces much more serious consequences. He could face up to five years in prison for violating a court-ordered driving ban. The case will now be heard by the Trzebnica court; proceedings are ongoing. Photo: Provincial Police Headquarters in Trzebnica.
