The Dior man, interpreted by Jonathan Anderson, is a modern dandy who boldly combines tweed, embroidery, ties, the iconic Dior “Bar jacket” or tailcoats and waistcoats inspired by the 18th and 19th centuries with typical streetwear elements. “It is a play on clothing and the idea of the aristocrat, in which lightness, youthful freedom and imagination lead to the discovery of identity,” Dior representatives explain in a press release.
Will Jonathan Anderson repeat Loewe's success at Dior?Jonathan Anderson's career is a story of developing a passion for costume design – and consistently strengthening his position in the fashion world thanks to androgynous and modern designs that perfectly suit the taste of Generation Z fashion lovers.

In 2013, Anderson became creative director of the Spanish fashion house Loewe. With his excellent sense of the zeitgeist in the age of social media, the designer refreshed the image of the Spanish fashion house and ensured its commercial success.
Dior is a leading brand in the portfolio of the French corporation LVMH. Like many other luxury brands, Dior has been recording worse financial results – on the wave of the crisis that the high-end products sector has been facing for some time now. Jonathan Anderson therefore has a difficult task ahead of him – to pull out of the financial hole the “jewel in the crown” of the largest company in the luxury sector.
