Police officers summed up their activities at two major festivals in the region

This year, Poland's two largest outdoor mass events: the 31st Pol'and'Rock Festival and Sunrise Festival 2025, took place in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship at virtually the same time. As a result, from July 29th to August 4th, the West Pomeranian Police secured both events as part of Operation GRYF 25. Officers have now summarized the results of their efforts.
West Pomeranian police officers, supported by officers from various regions of the country, ensured the safe conduct of both events in cooperation with the event organizers, other security services, and local governments. The police engaged all services subordinate to the Provincial Police Commander in Szczecin: prevention, criminal services, and logistics. The operation was led by Inspector Robert Sielski, First Deputy Provincial Police Commander in Szczecin.
During the events, the Czaplinek Police Field Station was activated. One of the most important areas of police oversight was road traffic, as participants in both events traveled to the venue in their own cars, by public transport, and on foot. Traffic officers directed traffic, conducted vehicle and driver sobriety checks. The entire operation was also supported from the air by a police helicopter and drones.
Water patrols, police on horses and quad bikes were also deployed to the operation.
The police also used these events for preventative and educational purposes. During the festival in Czaplinek-Broczyno, thanks to the initiative of the event organizer, PZU, and the West Pomeranian Police, several thousand reflective items were distributed to pedestrians.
The police assess the course of both events as very safe.
"During the security operation in the area of the Pol'and'Rock festival , we recorded 152 crimes (mainly possession of narcotics, driving under the influence of alcohol, theft, and violation of the no-fly zone). Furthermore, during the period in question, we responded to 1,071 offenses, issuing, among other things, fines and filing motions for punishment to the court. During the Sunrise Festival 2025, we recorded 70 crimes (mainly possession of narcotics, violation of the no-fly zone, and driving under the influence). Furthermore, during the period in question, we responded to 67 offenses, issuing, among other things, fines and filing motions for punishment to the court," the police said.
At the conclusion of the operation, the commander thanked all the police officers involved from the region and the country. The West Pomeranian officers were supported by uniformed personnel from almost all over Poland, including prevention units, road traffic units, mounted officers, and counterterrorism units, led by the Central Counterterrorism Unit of the Police (BOA). They were also assisted by students of basic courses from the Police School in Piła and students from the Police School in Słupsk.
