They immediately notified the school's management. The management called the police. The child had clear signs of being beaten. Investigators suspect the girl's father of the abuse.
Police officers from the Oświęcim police department have detained a 29-year-old resident of the Chełmek commune. The man is suspected of using violence against his eight-year-old daughter. The case came to light thanks to the vigilance of the employees of the girl's school. When the child came to class on Friday, February 21, she had clear signs of being beaten. The teachers did not remain indifferent and informed the principal about the situation.

The girl's 29-year-old father was said to have committed these acts. In connection with obtaining information about domestic violence, the school issued a Blue Card. The police immediately went to the educational institution, where they established the details of the case. Then, they notified the judge of the District Court in Oświęcim, Family and Minors Division, about the incident. By decision of the judge, the minor was placed under the care of her family. The man was detained and taken to the police station.

Proceedings were initiated against him on suspicion of committing a crime of physical and psychological abuse of a minor child for whom he had a duty of care. In addition, the police issued a police order prohibiting him from approaching his daughter, as well as a ban on contacting her.
The crime of abuse is punishable by up to five years' imprisonment.
