The draft amendment to the Teachers' Charter prepared by the Ministry of National Education proposes, among other things, shortening the period of employment of a teacher with the required qualifications but without a professional advancement degree, on the basis of a fixed-term employment contract from two school years to one school year, as well as adjusting changes in the scope of performance evaluation and professional advancement.
There is also a provision on the possibility of conducting classes directly with students for up to 9 hours a week in non-public kindergartens and schools by specialist teachers, including pedagogues and psychologists, on a basis other than an employment contract.
Another change is the extension of the scope of employment of a non-teaching person in a public kindergarten to all classes conducted there.
In turn, teachers who are less than a year away from receiving their pension will be able to take health leave for treatment or rehabilitation at a spa.
