On Friday, February 21, 2025, district police officers from Żnin received information about a wanted man driving a Mercedes-Benz in the town of Bożejewiczki. The police quickly located the vehicle and stopped it for a road check. There were two men in the car, including the wanted 23-year-old, who tried to mislead the officers by providing false personal data.
The 23-year-old arrested was wanted by the District Court in Żnin to serve a sentence of over 4 months of imprisonment for providing another person with a narcotic substance. After his arrest, he was taken to a police detention center and then, on Saturday, February 22, 2025, to a prison, where he will serve his sentence.
Additional legal consequencesThe man must also expect to be held responsible for deliberately misleading police officers about his identity. This offense is punishable by restriction of freedom or a fine. The police were not fooled by his attempts to avoid responsibility and successfully led to his arrest.
