The city will find money for benches

The Przemyśl Carmel is a place that stands out in a special way on the city map. From the top, specifically from the small square in front of St. Teresa's Church, a beautiful panorama unfolds. It would be a sin not to take advantage of this location.
Przemyśl councilor Anna Grad-Mizgała came up with the idea of creating a small viewing point in this area, inspired by a conversation with a monk – a member of the Karmelicka 1 Foundation. In a petition submitted to the city authorities, she noted that the square in front of St. Teresa's Church on Karmelicka Street is attractive due to the beautiful view it offers. She emphasized that these advantages are appreciated both by tourists, for whom a visit to Carmel is a must-see when visiting the city, and by locals, especially the elderly, who, after climbing the mountain, which can be quite challenging at a certain age, are looking for a place to rest. Currently, the area where the benches could be placed is an informal parking lot, but the two could probably be reconciled. The councilor submitted the idea to residents on social media for consideration, and they expressed their support, deeming it a good initiative worth implementing. "Carmel is a good space for meetings, stopping, and conversations on the benches." "The place has great landscape and aesthetic value. On one side, there's a view of the historic architecture of the Old Town, gently sloping towards the river, with the opposite side of the city looming in the distance. On the other, there's a magnificent view of the Mannerist façade of the Carmelite Church. I would suggest installing double benches, facing in both directions." – these are just a few examples. And it seems that this simple idea, which likely doesn't require huge funds, has a chance of materializing, although not immediately. According to the city authorities' official response to the submitted inquiry, funds for this purpose will be secured in the city budget for 2026.
