The new parking meters will accept card and BLIK payments. When will they appear on city streets?

We've raised the problematic issue of paying for parking in paid zones several times, as reported by readers. This concerns parking meters, which are outdated by today's standards, requiring you to carry coins or download a phone app to pay the appropriate fee.
[middle1]"It seems that Przemyśl is one of the few cities in Poland where you can't pay with a card at a parking meter. You need cash, and the exact amount, if you want to pay for the exact amount of time you'll be using the parking lot. Tourists visiting the city rush to the shops located near the parking meters to change money and are baffled why cashless payment isn't possible here," is one of the recent comments shared with us by a reader.
Especially for people who don't live in Przemyśl permanently, downloading a phone app is an undesirable solution. The problem of parking meters causing problems for drivers is also being highlighted by vendors at service points and shops located near paid parking zones, where drivers frequently visit, trying to change money for the meter.
The local government announced back in 2023 that cashless payment would be available in Przemyśl. Bids were opened on July 16th. One bid was received – from MBS Computergraphik from Błonia. The bid was proposed at PLN 1,178,893.50. This figure is within the city's budget.
It was supposed to be August, but...The issue of replacing parking meters across the city has been somewhat delayed. The original deadline for implementing changes to paid parking zones, and therefore introducing new meters, was August 1st of this year.
"We announced the tender in June. One bid was submitted in response, but also an appeal, which resulted in a hearing at the National Chamber of Appeals, which was scheduled for early July. This development could have jeopardized the project's completion by the end of August, so the deadline was extended by a resolution of the city council to October 1st. However, at the last minute, the appellant withdrew its appeal and, as a result, did not submit its bid. We are currently in the process of finalizing the tender, and we will certainly be able to make it by October 1st," assured Jacek Cielecki, director of the Przemyśl Public Roads Authority.
The scope of the order includes dismantling...
