The conversation between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin has ended, the Kremlin press office announced. A video surfaced online showing the Russian president leaving the room, flanked by his advisors. It also announced that a press conference would be held shortly.

Shortly after midnight Polish time, the Kremlin announced on social media that the conversation between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, along with their advisors, had concluded. " Narrow-scale negotiations have concluded, " it said.

The three-on-three meeting, held at a military base in Anchorage, Alaska , lasted a total of two hours and 45 minutes .

" The press conference of the presidents of Russia and the United States will begin soon ," the statement reads.

Trump-Putin Summit. Three-on-three talks

The conversation between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin was also attended by the leaders' aides. On the American side, they were Marco Rubio and Steve Witkoff . In addition to the Russian president, the Kremlin was represented by Sergei Lavrov and Yuri Ushakov .

Even before the meeting began, Vladimir Putin's spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, argued that the negotiations could last as long as 6-7 hours . Ultimately, they ended up lasting two hours and 45 minutes.

The Russian president arrived in Anchorage, where he was greeted by American aircraft, a red carpet, and Donald Trump. The two leaders chatted briefly before meeting with journalists for a souvenir photo.

After a short while, Donald Trump invited Vladimir Putin into his limousine , from where they drove towards the room where the negotiations were scheduled.

Anchorage Talks. Donald Trump: I Want a Ceasefire

US President Donald Trump, in an interview with Fox News before the summit with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Alaska, said he would like to see a ceasefire in Ukraine after Friday's meeting.

"I would like to see a ceasefire. I wouldn't like it if it didn't happen. But everyone says there might be a ceasefire at the second meeting. But I won't like that," Trump said aboard Air Force One en route to Alaska.

" I won't be happy if I leave without some kind of truce ," he added in a conversation published during Trump's meeting with Putin.

He reiterated that Friday's talks are intended to serve as preparation for the next meeting, which Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky would also attend. " If all goes well, there will be another meeting soon . Or there will be no more meetings. Maybe never," the president emphasized.

According to Fox News, after meeting with the Russian delegation, the US President talked with Volodymyr Zelensky and European leaders .

Putin-Trump Meeting. Russians: Excellent Talks

The talks between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin went excellently , Putin's advisor Kirill Dmitriev said, as quoted by the Interfax news agency.

“Excellent, everything is excellent,” Dmitriev told reporters in the room where the press conference will begin soon.

Putin's advisor is sitting in the front row alongside Defense Minister Andrei Belousov and Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, among others, who were scheduled to attend the delegation's extended lunch meeting.
