May 12 is International Nurses Day. A parliamentary group for nurses and midwives has been established in the Sejm. - We will discuss current problems, as well as the future of the nursing and midwifery professions - Joanna Wicha, a member of parliament from the Left, tells Rynek Zdrowia.

May 12 is International Nurses Day. The date is associated with the birth of Florence Nightingale, the forerunner of modern nursing and founder of the first school of nursing (in 1860 at St. Thomas' Hospital in London).
A parliamentary team for nurses and midwives was established in the Sejm. It was established at the initiative of the Left MP Joanna Wicha.
- We will discuss current problems, as well as the future of the nursing and midwifery professions - Wicha, a long-time nurse, tells Rynek Zdrowia.
The first meeting of the team is planned during the next week of work of the Sejm (20-21 May).
