Kevin Spacey Joins Cast of Conspiracy Thriller 'The Awakening'

The "House of Cards" star has joined the cast of the upcoming thriller "The Awakening." It's another role for the two-time Oscar winner, who doesn't hide the fact that he feels like he's at the beginning of his career.

Just two years ago, the actor had serious concerns about whether he would ever be able to regain the position he lost five years ago in the profession he loves above all else. It was this profession that was his safe haven for many years, when he did not accept himself, was afraid to openly admit his orientation.

As Variety reports, the actor has just joined the star-studded cast (Peter Stormare, Alice Eve, Steve Berkoff, Julian Glover, Matt Hookings) of Matt Routledge's film "The Awakening."

The film's plot focuses on a couple who stumble upon a global conspiracy to control the world. Their investigation uncovers a tangle of secrets and conspiracies that they try to unravel. After "Control" and "Peter Five Eight", this will be another project with the star, opening a new chapter in his career.
