Vice President JD Vance Against US Entry into War with Iran

Vice President JD Vance Against US Entry into War with Iran

Donald Trump announced on Thursday that he would make a final decision on entering the war with Iran on Israel's side "within two weeks."

US-Israel conversation 'tense'

That same day, a telephone conversation took place between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Israel Katz and Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir on the Israeli side, and Vice President J.D. Vance and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on the American side. Reuters does not rule out that other participants may have participated in the conversation.

According to the sources cited by the agency, during the conversation, which took place in a tense atmosphere, Vice President JD Vance insisted that the United States should not take direct part in the Israeli-Iranian war in which Israel is trying to draw it.

Israel is insisting on the bombing of Fordo, believing that it cannot wait two weeks for Donald Trump to make a decision and that Iran's main underground nuclear facility should be attacked as soon as possible.

US B-2 bombers move closer to Iran

President Donald Trump was scheduled to meet with his national security team on Saturday evening to decide whether the United States will join the conflict.

That same day, two to four B-2 strategic bombers, capable of carrying the GBU-57, a 29,000-pound penetrating bomb designed to destroy bunkers and other heavily fortified facilities, flew out of Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri. The B-2s were headed to the U.S. naval base in Guam in the Pacific Ocean. It is unclear whether they will continue to the U.S. naval support base in Diego Garcia, located about 2,300 miles (3,700 km) from Iran.
