Celta de Vigo shows interest in Chaves SAD

The scenario is presented by the Bloomberg agency, which says that the Spanish are considering moving forward with the purchase of a Portuguese club, and one of the options will be the SAD of Grupo Desportivo de Chaves.
Citing sources with knowledge of the matter, Bloomberg explains that Celta de Vigo is interested in buying a club in the North of the country, prioritizing proximity, and GD Chaves appears on the list of possibilities.
Following information about interest from North American investors, the Spanish club could acquire a stake in the Transmontano club, which currently plays in the II League.
The Galician club is controlled by the Mourino family and plays in La Liga, the top football league in the neighbouring country. In the SAD of the brave transmontanos, 90% of the company belongs to the Carvalho family, and the club holds the remaining 10%.
An official source from Celta de Vigo confirmed to the agency that they are considering options, but said that no option has been closed, and the president of Desportivo de Chaves SAD, Francisco Carvalho, assured that there were no negotiations with the Vigo team.
This will certainly be an issue that will be raised at the next General Meeting of Members, which is scheduled for March 6, taking place more than two months late. The board has already apologized for this and assured that the reasons for this delay “will be clarified at the General Meeting” next week.
