Investment of 2.5 million in two new health units

The project for the execution and opening of the public tender for the Bom Sucesso (north) and Paião (south) units was unanimously approved at the Chamber meeting on Friday.
“These infrastructures represent much more than simple buildings: they are modern, innovative and fully equipped spaces, designed to provide the best working conditions for health professionals and a more humane, efficient and closer service to citizens”, highlighted the executive led by Pedro Santana Lopes, in a statement.
With these new units, the municipality not only guarantees faster and more comfortable access to general and family medicine consultations, «but also reinforces its commitment to oral medicine and mental health, areas that are fundamental to the well-being of the population and often neglected in local services».
According to the note, “these units play an essential role in attracting and retaining new health professionals, providing cutting-edge facilities that encourage doctors and specialists to come to the region.”
“The qualification and enhancement of health services is not just an ambition – it is a real and concrete commitment to all citizens”, reads the statement.
The two units represent an investment of 2,474,879.43 euros, plus VAT, fully supported by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP).|
