Jorge Palma and his sons will debut the show "3 palmas na mão" in April

Jorge Palma and his sons Vicente and Francisco will premiere the show “3 palmas na mão” on April 14th at the Teatro Maria Matos in Lisbon, the musician's management announced today.
“The most substantial part” of the show “consists of revisited songs of mine, from the first to the most recent original album; but there will also be space for 'covers' of songs that mean a lot to the three of us”, anticipates Jorge Palma, quoted in the statement released today, adding that “there may still be solos by Vicente and Francisco, of their songs or others, but it is still too early to talk about that”.
The title of the show began as the name of Palma and his sons' WhatsApp group, before becoming a song included in the musician's latest album, "Vida". It has now taken the form of a concert.
“And here comes a new vocal/instrumental trio in Portugal – 3 claps in hand – made up of a father and his two sons”, says Jorge Palma, in the announcement dominated by a statement from the musician. “I am proud to have them with me on stage and to realize that, in some way, music lives in them as it lives in me. But, above all, I am happy and excited to have in Vicente and Francisco fellow musicians, talented and capable of putting on this show”.
Therefore, the creator of “Bairro do amor” continues, “those who think they are going to watch a poorly put-together show, with the daddy and his children complacently pulling the emotion and tears from the corner of the audience’s eyes, are mistaken”, because “these concerts are guided by the rigor of individual and collective performance, by the choice of instruments and arrangements, song by song, and by a line-up that aims to be intelligent and practical”.
Tickets for “3 palmas na mão” are now on sale online and “at the usual locations”.
