Leonel Gomes Cá joins Andersen’s Corporate and Real Estate teams

Leonel Gomes Cá is the latest hire at Andersen Portugal. The lawyer, who joins from VdA, will join the Corporate and Real Estate Law teams of the firm led by José Mota Soares.

“At this stage of my career, I believe I can add value in Corporate, an area in which I have been working, and at the same time develop skills in Real Estate, a sector with a strong presence in Portugal. Andersen has seen exponential growth, driven by its integration into an Iberian strategy and the arrival of lawyers from large structures”, comments the lawyer in a note sent to JE, highlighting the opportunity to “join a growing project”.

Regarding the integration of Leonel Gomes Cá into the law firm, José Mota Soares, managing partner at Andersen, highlights that “his profile fits in with the strategy of focusing on quality and specialization” of the firm, which began operating in Portugal in 2017.

Leonel Gomes Cá holds a degree in Law from the Lusíada University of Lisbon and a Master's degree in Law and Financial Markets from the Faculty of Law of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (UNL).

The lawyer founded, with André Moreira Simões, professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, the project “Há Direito”, designed to respond to the low levels of legal literacy in Portugal.

It is worth remembering that, at the end of January, Andersen Iberia announced the opening of an office in Porto , following the integration of Teixeira & Guimarães.
