Medical volunteers want to combine training and social commitment in Coimbra

The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra (FMUC) will host, on Wednesday, the presentation of the University Volunteer Group for Medical Students (NUVEM), a pioneering volunteer project that combines academic training and social commitment.

"In just one week of registrations, which have now closed, we have counted one hundred volunteers, a high number that we did not expect to achieve in such a short time," the group's vice-president, Carolina Carvalho, told Lusa news agency.
