Portimão: Praia da Rocha hosts the 5th Afro Nation Festival

In total, more than 30 artists will perform over three days on the two stages of what bills itself as "the biggest Afrobeats festival in the world."
Today's main stage lineup includes Chris Brown, Davido, Tiakola Gabzy, Rionsia and Qing Madi. The second stage will feature performances by Dbn Gogo, Mörda, Nkosazana Daughter and KMAT.
The second day of Afro Nation , on Thursday, will be marked by the debut in Portugal of Mary J. Blige, who is one of the most relevant singers in hip-hop soul and r&b and has a career spanning over 35 years.
In addition to Mary J. Blige, Tens, Franglish, Odeal, Amaarae, Naza and June Freedom also perform on the main stage.
The second stage hosts, on that day, Uncle Waffles, Lee McKrazy with Scotts Maphuma, Felo Le Tee, Shakes & Les and The Therapist.
Afro Nation closes on Friday with Burna Boy – who returns to the festival for the fourth time, after having been present in 2019, 2022 and 2023 -, Booba, Dexta Deps, Joé Dwèt Filé and InnosB, on the main stage.
The second stage welcomes Scorpion Kings, Young Stunna, Vigro Deep, Oskido and Rosey Gold.
Afro Nation only allows entry to those over 18 years of age, and "identification is required" to prove age, according to information available on the festival's website .
Tickets for Afro Nation cost 349 euros for a three-day pass and 137 euros for a day ticket.
