PSP arrested four drivers with excessive alcohol

Four of the arrests were due to driving under the influence of alcohol.
There was one arrest on suspicion of domestic violence. And one person was detained to serve an arrest/conduction warrant.
The PSP calls for the reporting of all crimes of which one is aware, whether as a victim or witness, and reminds that “the faster this reporting is, the quicker steps will be taken to identify the perpetrator(s) of the crime(s)”.
Also in the week of February 17 to February 24, the PSP recorded 10 road accidents in the two cities, one of which resulted in a serious injury.
The security force advises driving safely, “adapting your driving to the weather conditions and the condition of the road and not adopting behaviors that may reduce your capabilities, namely driving at excessive speed or under the influence of alcohol, or that are likely to cause distractions, such as using a cell phone while driving”.
“Only with responsible and safe conduct on the part of all road users will it be possible to reduce accidents,” the District Command added in a statement.
At a time when information is more important than ever, support regional and local journalism. Access to most of VTM's news is (still) free, but it is not free of charge. Journalism costs money and requires investment. This contribution is a way of directly supporting A Voz de Trás-os-Montes and its journalists. Our contribution is independent and local journalism, but not only that. It is continuing to inform despite all the contingencies of confinement, without having stopped for a single day.
