Registration for the second semester edition of ProUni (University for All Program) ends at 11:59 pm (Brasília time) this Friday (4). According to the MEC (Ministry of Education), there are more than 200 thousand full and partial scholarships on offer for undergraduate courses.

The procedure must be done exclusively through the Single Portal for Access to Higher Education . There are no fees charged. The vacancies, in turn, are distributed across 370 courses, offered in 887 higher education institutions throughout Brazil.

To participate in ProUni, it is necessary to have taken one of the last two editions of the Enem (National High School Exam) and to have achieved at least 450 points on average in the five exam tests. In addition, the student cannot have scored zero on the essay test or have participated as a trainee.

The pre-selected candidate must also prove a gross monthly family income, per person, of up to 1.5 minimum wages (R$ 2,277), to obtain the full scholarship, which covers the entire monthly tuition fee for the course.

For the partial scholarship, which covers (50%) of the monthly fee, the required monthly per capita income is up to 3 minimum wages (R$ 4,554).

You still need to meet at least one of the following conditions:

  • Have completed high school entirely in a public school;
  • Have completed high school entirely at a private institution, as a full scholarship holder of the respective institution;
  • Have completed high school partially in a public school and partially in a private institution, as a full scholarship holder of the respective institution;
  • Have completed secondary education partially in a public school and partially in a private institution, with or without a scholarship from the respective institution;
  • Have completed high school entirely at a private institution, with a partial scholarship from the respective institution or without the scholarship status;
  • Being a person with a disability, as provided for in the legislation;
  • Be a teacher in the public school system, exclusively for undergraduate and pedagogy courses, aimed at training teachers in basic education. In this case, the income limit required for other candidates does not apply.
