The volume of sales of seized goods on the online platform of the Order of Solicitors and Enforcement Agents (OSAE), known as e-Auctions, reached 629.3 million euros in 2024, it was announced this Monday.
The platform created by OSAE to streamline the sale of seized assets, through electronic auctions, recorded 10,170 auction sessions last year, with 169,150 bids, according to the order in a statement.
The real estate segment "remained the most dynamic", indicated the OSAE, with a sales volume of 593.5 million euros, which reflects "the high demand and investor confidence".
Legal assets reached 24.8 million euros in sales, with 4,559 bids, while the automotive sector totaled sales worth 8.08 million euros, driven by 36,340 bids.
In the equipment and machinery segment, sales of equipment reached 1.6 million euros, while machines recorded 449 thousand euros in sales.
Finally, the furniture "reached 769 thousand euros in sales volume, confirming the diversity of the offer on the platform".
Anabela Veloso, president of OSAE, argues that, with "the goods sold at fair values, in light of the current market, the launch of e-Auctions has reinforced the protection of the rights and interests of plaintiffs and defendants", in statements cited in a press release.
The person in charge also highlights the support of the Ministry of Justice and the cooperation maintained with the government area and the most diverse entities involved in this platform.
