Samsung's smart ring is R$1,500 off; is it worth it?

At 7 mm wide and 2.6 cm thick, the ring is quite lightweight, weighing between 2.3 and 3 grams (depending on the size). The ideal size for me was 8. To find yours, you can try it on at a Samsung store or buy a measuring kit online (it costs R$99, but then the cost is deducted from the ring with a coupon). If you already know your standard jewelry size, you can try converting it to the American standard, but there's a margin of error.

The battery lasts a long time. The smaller size has 18 mAh and the larger 23.5 mAh, which means up to a week of use, according to Samsung. For me, it lasts five days—the only time the ring comes off my finger is to charge it. Simply place it in the case for about an hour, which stores another ten days (361 mAh) and has a circular LED charge indicator.

To see exactly how much battery life the ring has left, you need to access the Galaxy Wear app on your phone, which connects it. Additionally, when you take it off your finger, the light flashes red when it's less than 15% charged (up to 85%, green). It took me a while to get used to paying attention to it daily, as there's no active notification that the battery is running low; therefore, some nights it turned off and sleep tracking wasn't working.

Menstrual cycle tracking. This is an interesting feature for people trying to get pregnant (or avoiding it), as it not only predicts the date of your next period but also estimates your fertile period/ovulation based on your body temperature. However, you need to activate the feature and remember to manually record your period every month (I always forget, and then it looks like I'm way overdue).

No monthly fees. It's worth noting that there are no monthly fees, unlike its main competitor worldwide, Oura (not yet available in Brazil), which charges a subscription of US$5.99 (R$32) per month for access to all measurements.
