Santander and Lidl Portugal form commercial partnership for bank card to offer discounts at the retailer

Santander Totta and Lidl Portugal have announced a new commercial partnership. From March, Lidl Portugal customers who make purchases with a Santander bank card will be able to access discount coupons through the exclusive Lidl Plus app of up to 10 euros per month, depending on the consumption made in the supermarket chain in the previous month.
New Santander customers who choose to pay their salary directly to the bank will also be able to receive up to 50 euros per month in Lidl Plus vouchers for one year.
Miguel Belo Carvalho, Executive Director of Santander Portugal, highlighted that the partnership “is essential to enable savings on food products for our Portuguese families who are customers. These benefits are in addition to other discounts that we offer in other areas, such as mobility or energy. Through partnerships, we seek to provide exclusive advantages, reinforcing our offer and the satisfaction and loyalty of our customers”.
The bank says that for Santander Mundo 123 customers (with account, card and insurance), “the advantage is even greater: using the M123 Card, they will benefit from 2% cashback on the monthly value of their purchases, maintaining the current monthly limits that can go up to 16 euros per month”.
