UN Security Council approves US resolution to end war in Ukraine; Russia supports it
The UN Security Council on Monday approved, with the support of Russia, a US resolution calling for a swift peace in Ukraine, but without reference to the country's territorial integrity.
The resolution, which "calls for an end to the conflict as soon as possible and calls for a lasting peace", received 10 votes in favor, including Russia, and none against.
The four European Union (EU) countries (France, Slovenia, Greece, Denmark) and the United Kingdom abstained.
