Chianti wine consortium to launch campaign in Brazil in November

The Consorzio Vino Chianti association, which operates in Tuscany, Italy, will hold a promotional event in São Paulo in November. The announcement of the initiative coincides with the re-election of Giovanni Busi as head of the organization, which aims to expand its markets in South America, Africa and Asia during this new term.
"We must seek new markets, with structured and continuous investments," said Busi, re-elected at a "crucial moment for the wine sector, which faces the delicate balance between production, markets and economic sustainability."
Chianti wine is a Made in Italy product with the European DOCG quality seal (Controlled and Guaranteed Designation of Origin), which guarantees that its production is carried out under a strict process in only six Tuscan provinces belonging to the consortium: Florence, Siena, Arezzo, Pisa, Pistoia and Prato.
