Culture: In Loulé there are «Words to Move and Sit»

Culture: In Loulé there are «Words to Move and Sit»

Opening on Friday, August 8th, at 6 pm, the Galeria do Palácio Gama Lobo, in Loulé, hosts this exhibition with a unique approach where each visitor becomes a co-author of a living narrative.

The work is composed of 260 Anvil Fases Original benches, with a minimalist and striking design, molded with 780 letters distributed on the surfaces and sides of the seats.

There are 30 complete alphabets available for interaction, allowing the public to move the benches and compose words that transform the environment with each visit, where no two arrangements will be the same.

Wesley Sacardi, also responsible for the "Descartes Series, Beyond Raw Material" line, emphasizes that the installation's proposal goes beyond aesthetics: it's about connection, creativity, and reflection. For him, art has the power to transform spaces and connect people, and this exhibition is a tangible demonstration of that power.

The Bigorna Fases Original Bench, already successfully presented in the “Bigorna Fases” installation during Lisbon Design Week 24 at Galeria Novobanco, is once again the star of the show.

The design of this exhibition allows for countless combinations and artistic interventions, promoting creative freedom for visitors. Furthermore, the use of raw materials considered "poor" invites reflection on standards of value.

Interaction is the central point: visitors can observe, touch, move and sit, this is the starting point for forming words.

This symbolic gesture creates connections between strangers, providing a unique sensory and emotional experience. As part of the exhibition, it will also be possible to purchase one or more benches in advance. These exclusive pieces convey the language of installation.

"Words to Move and Sit" is not just an exhibition. It's a living, breathing space, constantly transforming, where each person leaves their mark through language, body, and imagination.

This action is sponsored by: Tintas CIN, Matemativerso construction materials, Quinta dos Capinhas winery, Oficina 33 carpentry, ZEFA – Contemporary Art Center and Bloom hub.

Wesley Sacardi is part of the Design Lab community, at Loulé Criativo, Loulé City Council.
