Festa do Banho 29 returns to Lagos and promotes beach fashion in a competition

In Lagos, the Bathing Festival 29 invites us to remember the outfits once worn for sea bathing and simultaneously challenges us to be creative and innovative in recreating this fashion.

Two sides of the same traditional swimsuit contest that return to liven up the longest night of summer.

The rules for participation in the traditional swimsuit competition, a joint initiative between Lagos City Council and ACRAL , were approved at the last council meeting, providing for the awarding of monetary prizes for the three best swimsuits in each category.

The parades will take place in Jardim da Constituição and Cais da Solaria, as part of the Festa do Banho 29 in Lagos, as part of a program that will include moments of historical recreation, food and drinks and musical entertainment, this year with singer Rebeca as the headliner.

Registrations are open until August 1st (for the “Fashion and Innovation” section/category), through an online form (available here ), and until August 29th (for the “Tradition and Community” section), also by completing an online form (available here ) or a registration form delivered in person on the day and at the location of the event.
