Suspect of homicide in Belas remains in preventive detention

The 38-year-old man, suspected of a homicide in the parish of Belas, in Sintra, was held in preventive detention, an official source from the Judicial Police (PJ) told Lusa.
The suspect in the death of a 50-year-old man was arrested on Thursday and remains in preventive detention, according to the PJ (Public Justice) told Lusa.
This crime occurred following previous conflicts between the aggressor and the victim's family.
The crime occurred in the early hours of Thursday, in the parish of Belas, in Sintra, district of Lisbon, near the residence of the homicide suspect, “following an altercation between the two men, culminating in a fatal assault, through the use of a bladed weapon”, reported, at the time, the police body responsible for the criminal investigation.
After fleeing the scene, the homicide suspect was identified, located and detained on Thursday by the PJ, through the Lisbon and Tagus Valley Directorate.
