Bragança. Oral health in all health centers

The Northeast Local Health Unit (ULSNE), in the district of Bragança, has, as of this month, dental medicine consultations available in all its health centers , the entity reported this Tuesday.

To bring the specialty to the entire district of Bragança, it was essential to expand the clinical team, now comprising “another dentist who will provide services at the health centers of Alfândega da Fé, Torre de Moncorvo and Carrazeda de Ansiães”, explained ULSNE in a statement.

“This measure, aligned with the guiding principles of the National Health Service (SNS) within the scope of the National Oral Health Promotion Programme, is essential in terms of promoting the overall health of users , with an impact on essential functions, such as chewing, breathing and speaking, also covering the psychosocial dimension in terms of self-confidence and well-being”, the institution further described.

ULSNE is responsible for managing the 14 health centres in the Bragança area, as well as three hospitals, located in the district capital, in Macedo de Cavaleiros and in Mirandela.
