Eurozone disinflation clear despite oil volatility, says ECB vice president
Disinflation in the euro zone is likely to continue regardless of some volatility in oil prices related to turmoil in the Middle East, European Central Bank Vice President Luis de Guindos said on Tuesday.
"If the price of oil rises - although it seems to have been somewhat contained - that will be something we will have to take into account, but always in a context where the underlying disinflation process is relatively clear," de Guindos said at an event in Spain.
