The favorites for the Senate in Bahia in 2026, according to a new survey

Former governor Rui Costa (PT), who currently holds the position of Chief Minister of the Civil House, is emerging as the favorite to occupy a senator seat for the state of Bahia in 2026. The scenario was monitored by Real Time Big Data, in a survey released this Monday 22 by CNN Brasil .
According to the survey, the second senatorial seat for Bahia would go to Angelo Coronel (PSD). He is already a senator for the state and would be reappointed. The closest candidate of the pair is João Roma (PL). Look:
- Rui Costa (PT) – 26%
- Angelo Coronel (PSD) – 17%
- João Roma (PL) – 11%
- Adolfo Viana (PSDB) – 6%
- Aroldo Cedraz (no party) – 6%
- Marcio Marinho (Republicans) – 6%
- Null/Blank – 17%
- Don't know/Didn't answer – 11%
The Real Time Big Data survey interviewed 1,200 voters in the state between September 18th and 19th. The margin of error is plus or minus three percentage points.
