The Federal Audit Court (TCU) asks the Chamber of Deputies to investigate irregularities during Eduardo Bolsonaro's stay in the US

The Federal Court of Auditors recommended that the Chamber of Deputies investigate possible irregularities in the financing of federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) during his stay in the United States .
At the end of the proceedings, the Federal Audit Court (TCU) ruled in a ruling last week that the Chamber's president must submit its findings to the Court of Auditors. The ruling comes after an opinion from the court's technical department pointed to "sufficient evidence of irregularity" in the case.
The case against the son of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) was filed by federal deputy Guilherme Boulos (PSOL-SP), under the argument that Eduardo promotes political articulations against Brazilian national sovereignty.
TCU technicians analyzed Eduardo's absences in the plenary attendance report on the Chamber's Transparency Portal. Only one of the five absences recorded in the system was justified. Furthermore, there is no information about deductions from Eduardo's salary due to his absences.
The report, however, recommended that the case be analyzed by the House itself, since the possible irregularities would not amount to 120 thousand reais, the amount that the TCU set as the ceiling for opening investigations.
The Bolsonaro supporter's stay in the US is the subject of an investigation by the Supreme Federal Court. Under the reporting of Justice Alexandre de Moraes , the investigation focuses on the congressman's efforts to get the Donald Trump administration to impose sanctions on Brazilian officials.
In a statement to the Federal Police, Bolsonaro confessed to having sent 2 million reais to his son so he could stay in the United States.
