The defendant, accused of preparing a terrorist attack and detained on May 9 in Moscow , has connections to foreign criminals. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the case materials.
They indicate that he is accused of committing a particularly serious crime, has no permanent source of income, and has “numerous criminal connections outside the Russian Federation.” At the same time, as stated in the materials, the identity of the accused “has not been fully established.”
Earlier it was reported that the court had decided the fate of a suspect in the preparation of a terrorist attack in the Russian capital for the near future. He was charged with preparing to commit a terrorist attack by a group of people by prior conspiracy. The defendant's lawyer did not agree with the fact that his client was sent to a pretrial detention center and appealed the arrest. The Moscow City Court rejected the appeal, recognizing the ruling as lawful.
As it turned out later, the accused worked with a foreign intelligence service, whose employees taught him methods of conspiracy and counteracting law enforcement. According to the investigation, the defendant could have put pressure on the participants in the proceedings if he had remained free during the investigation.
