Air tickets to the US for Russians have become a third cheaper

In March 2025, air tickets to the USA became cheaper by a third compared to the same period last year. The Kupibilet service reported the drop in prices for flights, the data is available to Lenta.ru.

According to the study, in March 2024, the average cost of tickets from Russia to the United States and back was 188.4 thousand rubles. In the same month of this year, the value decreased by 28 percent - to 134.7 thousand.

In April 2025, the average cost of a flight will be 145.5 thousand rubles, which is also significantly lower than last year’s figures – 186.9 thousand (minus 22 percent).

“The reduction in the cost of travel to the US is due to several factors: political changes, an increase in the number of flights and connecting routes, as well as the traditional decline in seasonal demand,” explained the company’s product director Andrey Maslak.

It is noted that in February, demand for trips to the States increased by 7.1 percent compared to January. If the downward trend in prices continues, this could lead to a new surge in interest in the United States in the coming months, the study says.

Earlier, Rosaviatsiya assessed the possibility of restoring direct flights between Russia and the United States. According to experts, this is unlikely due to the ban on flights over Europe.
