Hunters Catch Tiger Attacking Cattle in Primorye

Hunting inspectors and the Land of the Leopard National Park caught an Amur tiger near the village of Tikhy in Primorye, the press service of the Ministry of Forestry reported. The predator had been hunting farm horses for a long time. The tiger has no visible injuries.
A joint group of hunting inspectors and specialists from Land of the Leopard seized a large male Amur tiger on the night of February 27, 2025, in the vicinity of the village of Tikhy in the Nadezhdinsky District, the publication says.
Earlier, it was reported that the tiger Zeus died of heart failure at the Leningrad Zoo. The zoo's chief veterinarian, Innokenty Bulavinov, explained that the animal had been receiving intensive infusion, antiviral and antibacterial therapy for the past few days. The predator was born in 2022 in Mariupol, and arrived in the Northern capital in 2023.
Earlier it became known that in the Amur Region, the tiger Boris traveled 200 kilometers to find his old friend named Svetlaya. The two animals were nursed together and released into the wild at a distance of almost 150 km from each other, but the male still found his way to the familiar female and six months later Svetlaya gave birth to cubs.
In addition, a polar bear cub was born in the Perm Zoo. The cub was born about three months ago and now spends almost all of its time in the den with its mother. The cub's gender is still unknown.
