Doctor of Medical Sciences Tatyana Shapovalenko and nutritionist Elena Korshun gave four pieces of advice on the air of the program "About the Most Important Thing" on the channel "Russia 1" that will help get rid of fatigue and forgetfulness. The episode is available on the platform "Smotrim".

According to experts, fatigue and forgetfulness can occur if the brain is actively working and overworked. Therefore, the organ needs to be given rest, the nutritionist clarified. "Be sure to put away all gadgets, TVs, calm down, tune in, because sleep is very important for the restoration of our brain," Korshun said. She also added that the duration of sleep should be 7-8 hours.

Shapovalenko urged people to solve puzzles, learn foreign languages, or assemble jigsaw puzzles to combat forgetfulness. The doctor explained that such activities increase the neuroplasticity of the brain.

In addition, as the doctor of medical sciences noted, it is necessary to walk and eat right. Shapovalenko recommended including whole grain products and fatty fish in the diet as sources of microelements useful for the brain. Korshun added that berries and green tea also have a positive effect on brain function due to their antioxidant properties.

Earlier, nutritionist Yulia Chekhonina and rehabilitation specialist Sergey Agapkin named a drink that can protect against dementia. According to them, it also reduces blood pressure.
