Former Krasnodar footballer Fyodor Smolov filed a police report on the fact of extortion of money from him and fraud after a conflict in the Kofemaniya cafe. Journalist Ivan Karpov reported this on his Telegram channel.

The source specified that this was an attempt at fraud on an especially large scale. The player handed over all the papers to the police on Saturday evening, July 5.

Earlier, the Russian Interior Ministry's Moscow Department responded to the brawl involving Smolov. The department refused to open a criminal case on the fact of the fight.

The conflict occurred on May 28, but the video was only posted online on July 5. It was noted that Smolov attacked visitors in the capital's "Kofemania" with his fists. Later, the player was asked to pay money so that the video would not be published.
