Sobyanin reported the destruction of two drones flying to Moscow

Air defense forces on duty shot down two Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) flying in the direction of Moscow. This was reported by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin on his Telegram channel.

The mayor reported the first UAV destroyed at 02:49 Moscow time on July 9. He published the second message about repelling the drone attack at 03:02 Moscow time.

At night, Rosaviatsia introduced restrictions on the operation of Sheremetyevo airport in Moscow and the air harbor in Kaluga (Grabtsevo).

On July 8, Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Rodion Miroshnik reported to TASS that 17 residents of Russian regions had died as a result of Ukrainian attacks over the past week. 142 people were injured, including eight children. On the same day, Acting Governor of Kursk Oblast Alexander Khinshtein reported the death of a 61-year-old man in an attack by a Ukrainian drone on a private home in Khodyakovka, Glushkovsky District.
